Unclewest: I have seen a great deal of tech. discussion, but it might be worth noting that Rambus' Chairman is Mr. Davidow who was instrumental in leading Intel away from the memory business & into the microprocessor business. Now, he is Chairman of a Company ( Rambus ) who is soon to be instrumental in leading the way into a successful memory solution brought about by the giant leaps of microprocessor power wherein memory has not keep up thus creating a bottleneck memory problem which Intel & others are counting on Rambus to largely solve. I've seen much comment on Tate and Harmon but virtually none re: Mr. Davidow. Davidow was considered the microprocessor marketing guru for Intel & his relationship to Rambus could be extremely important in many ways.
