Hi Lee, thanks for the response re; Dell/GTW. While it is true that Dell has instant access to the consumer by phone or net, an acquisition of GTW would give not only access, but a very large number of GTW customers who are th very group of consumers that Dell is targeting. Not the low end users that emachines and CPQ seem so bent on chasing, but the more computer literate/net connected consumers, which represent the higher margin sales. Additionally, it would deny CPQ the ability to seriously and effectively enter the direct market for years to come.

I understand that Dell has always grown internally and it has proven very successful, however Dell is now reaching a critical point where, due to size, acquisitions may be the only way for it to continue it's historical growth patterns. Don't get me wrong, I think Dell will do fine for years to come, it just seems to me that GTW, at this point in time, presents an opportunity that Dell should consider very seriously, especially since such an acquisition would almost surely be immediately accretive to earnings. Again thanks for the input and I look forward to more. Aloha.
