Agreed as to the eventual outcome. Getting there, however.... Good ole Ayn engineering the marriage to Barbara, but wanting her own "rational" love affair with him. And then, when he breaks it off, Rand kicks him out of the movement and shuts it down. Probably all to the good, as under her control the Objectivist movement seemed to be taking on more and more of the authoritarian (even totalitarian) overtones of the very ideologies it supposedly opposed.
