Jill N -

There's an interesting new book out called "The Pity of War" that indicates England was much more responsible for fomenting last 2 wars than we admit...

I don't know who wote a book with such a theme but whoever it was must be stark raving mad. England was minding its own business in the summer of 1914 and again in the Summer of 1939. England had no particular interest in Europe and didn't have much of an Army or an Airforce applicable to a European war. England had very little interest in Europe as the German Government calculated.

The British went to war to protect themselves and thereby our civiliztion from the Germans who twice within the space of a few short years went stark raving mad. Had the British not stood up to the Germans, the Germans might have completed their next version of the V2 which they were actively working on and which for obvious reasons was called the 'New York".

Best regards,

L
