I do like the idea of newly acquired funds going to parent Ampex instead of spinoff IPO's. The management talent being assembled seems to be directed at a much higher corporate structure then being dedicated to subsidiary operations. I could see a Ampex Internet media conglomerate headquartered in NY, staffed by talented, creative new media leaders. In turn, a worldwide network of narrowcasting service companies and affiliates taking advice and support from parent Ampex. In this context, remember, we Ampexologists still have to come to terms with meaning of Dave Gardy's description of Ampex using the phrase - "juggernaut".
