Is there any possibility that the DOD has some of the "missing barrels" already in storage? No discussions about the "barrels" ever mentions this as a possible scenario. Could all of the public disclosure in the last few years about the government reserves being drawn down have really been contrary to what was actually happening? I don't know how you could get multiple supertankers into port and transfer the "barrels" to caverns in who-knows-where without it being revealed, but is it possible? If the "barrels" exist in this manner, I would think it is doubtful they would ever show up on the open market.

All right, I admit it, I've been watching too many movies.
