re: IBM, fwiw the hardware-centric IBM pricing model makes much more sense to me today than it did 5 years ago. Since enterprise software is a boom and bust 8-year cycle purchase, hardware provides a way to even out the revenues a little. Msft will discover this when they really move into enterprise. Sorry for the diversion, just a comment
