William do you have anything that says the $280 target was set based on auction revenue only. BTW I am puzzled about the whole auction thing at amzn. I think they might have been working on auctions as a part of their multi=storefront offering, where they could offer actions to retailers interested in becoming amazon parters or something, I wonder if hitting ebay direct-on was the intial intention for an auction site. Just thinking out loud.
