Having seen it from the inside, I doubt that MSFT is capable of successfully planning anything of the sort. This good board appointment happened, I'm sure, because Jeremy Jaech thought that this would be a useful addition. I do agree that MSFT has chosen not to enter this space and views VSIO as a good partner, adding value to the NT OS with great applications.
