Freeus, In a nut shell 1999 will be know as the year of the wireless revolution. Everyone in the communications industry are gearing their products to be able to run on the new data platforms which allow you to say pick up your phone and communicate with a computer, fax machine, speak to your email program and have it talk back and read your email to you of send out email you dictate over any voice device. In short you will be able to take any device like pager, phone , computer, wireless handheld, and fax machine and communicate with any of the other of these devices from any where in the world.
