Grant, let's talk about the Devonian Age of less complex rocks arround the Basins that we study - both the Great Basin of The Great Southwest and in the Prairie Basin of Canada. Been a while since the Fine Golds of Microfine Thread, best to you. BMD inserts from their Website Below on Devonian Age as well as MiQ: RE:

Mr. Gilles Laverdiere reports
The company has received the final technical report from Kinross on the latest work program done on the property.
Of significant importance is the new gold discovery near the Bald Mountain fault. Hole K98-49 intersected 70 feet of 0.11 of an ounce per ton of gold between 855 feet and 925 feet. The drill hole is the only one drilled on the Bald Mountain fault and was drilled in a previously unexplored area. No other holes have been drilled in the immediate vicinity in this structure.
Geochemical results show a strong, coherent surface gold anomaly in soils with coincident pathfinder elements and which extends for over one square mile. At this time, hole K98-49 represents a significant gold discovery coincident with this geochemical anomaly in an area of favourable Carlin Trend host rocks. Hole K98-49 is approximately 3,000 feet southwest of the POD deposit on the property.
Hole K98-49 is technically not associated with the POD mineralization. The 1999 program will delineate the nature of this mineralization and add to the existing resource.
The Bald Mountain fault is a structure midway between the POD deposit and the high-grade Bunker Hill gold-copper skarn occurrence. This fault is a high-angle cross fault which strikes east-west and intersects the Bald Mountain intrusive, an important mineralization control at the Railroad project. The Bald Mountain intrusive contains the Bunker Hill high-grade gold-copper occurrence discovered in 1997 and the polymetallic skarn deposits on its eastern contact with the lower plate rocks that were mined in the first half of the century.
Kinross has indicated to the company that its 1999 field season will begin as soon as field conditions permit, and that this area of the project will be given priority status.
Kinross and Mirandor have an agreement whereby Kinross can earn a 55 per cent interest in the Railroad project by expending $7-million (U.S.), and an additional 10 per cent by expending a further $5-million (U.S.) toward a positive feasibility study. The agreement calls for a minimum expenditure of $1.5-million (U.S.) in 1999.
The railroad project, consisting of approximately 55 square miles, is centred on the southern end of the Carlin Trend, and lies at the intersection of the northwest-southeast Carlin Trend and the north-south Pinon anticline structure. It is within a Carlin erosional window exposing at surface favourable lower plate sedimentary rocks.

Mr. James Speros reports
Exploration Mirandor has received the following information from Kinross Gold concerning the Railroad project in Nevada.
The drilling program continues at the Railroad project, where Kinross is earning a 60 per cent joint venture interest in a large Carlin Trend land position with Exploration Mirandor. Work to date has provided encouragement at several near-surface targets. Stepout drilling in one area has cut promising mineralization. A fence of three holes had the following mineralized intersections:

Hole Thick- Depth Au
ness ft ft oz/t

K98-26 35 45 - 80 0.2374
K98-27 85 75- 160 0.0819
includes 20 0.227
K98-36 100 145-245 0.0392
includes 20 0.102

In the near vicinity drilling has also hit:

Hole Thick- Depth Au
ness ft ft oz/t

K98-18 30 15- 45 0.036
K98-30 80 90-170 0.046
K98-37 105 265-370 0.121
K98-49 70 855-925 0.110
K98-55 85 375-455 0.072

The geologic setting and host rocks are largely similar to those at the nearby Rain deposit where Newmont produced more than one million ounces of gold from an open pit and is currently developing an underground resource for production
Holes 26, 27, 36 were drilled on section and a stepout fence was designed to discover the possible continuation of the surface POO deposit (geologic resources as at July 1997 of 1.4 million ton at 0.085 oz/ton gold), (D. Gaudreault, July 1997). These stepout holes now further extend the known strike length of the POO deposit to the east.
Holes 18, 37 and 55 were drilled in the vicinity, while hole No. 30 was drilled approximately 1,400 feet east of the POO deposit.
Hole No. 49 is a new discovery hole and is approximately 2,900 feet south southeast of the POO deposit towards the Bunker Hill zone which was discovered in 1997 by Mirandor. Bunker Hill is feet southeast of hole 49.
Kinross and Mirandor have an agreement whereby Kinross can earn a 50 per cent interest in the Railroad project by expending approximately $10-million on an additional 10 per cent by expending a further $7.5-million on a positive feasibility study.
The POD claims are subject to the Kinross joint venture. Brex has been allocated 50 per cent of the POD claims by Mirandor.
The Railroad project, consisting of 55 square miles, is centred on the southern end of the Carlin Trend and lies at the intersection of the NW-SE Carlin Trend and the N-S Pinon anticline structure. It is within a Carlin erosional "window" exposing at surface favourable lower plate sedimentary rocks.

Mr. Andrew McQuire reports
Brex Exploration has completed its acquisitions process of the POD group of claims by signing an agreement that purchases all its advance production royalties. Brex owns 50 per cent of the POD group allocated by Exploration Mirandor.
Brex will issue 3.5 million shares to a private Nevada company, to complete the agreement and purchase the royalties on the POD claims.
The property is in the Railroad district of the southeastern part of the Carlin Trend, seven kilometres south of Newmont Gold's operating Rain underground gold mine and eight kilometres southwest of Newmont's soon-to-be-opened Emigrant open-pit gold mine.
Geologically, the POD property has lower plate Devonian rocks exposed on surface. The rocks are intensely altered and silicified with large areas of exposed jasperoid. These are the rock types that host the major gold deposits in the Carlin Trend. All showings, including the surface POD deposit, are bounded by high-angle northwest trending faults. The geological resources as at July 1997 stood at 1.4 million tons at 0.085 ounce per ton gold (D. Gaudreault, July 1997).
The POD claims are subject to the Kinross joint venture agreement whereby Kinross can earn a 50 per cent interest in the Railroad project by expenditures of $7-million (U.S.) in exploration and an additional 10 per cent by spending another $5-million (U.S.) on a positive feasibility study.
