You may be right given the clout & resources that Intel has shown...they look unbeatable. Their StrongARM chip will also give MIPS a run for the money and apparently is going to become a priority for them in small mobile devices.

I'm hoping (still) that the modest yet pragmatic Centaur approach can find a partner or two. The IDTI (70%) sales into the communications sectors is their main strength, obviously. (Maybe they can surprise us!? <30% chance)
