NewSys Awarded $1.98 Million Large-Scale Data Warehousing
Contract
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--NewSys Solutions Inc. ("NewSys" or the "Company")
(ASE:NSS), is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $1.98
million contract by Human Resources Development Canada ("HRDC"), a
department of the Government of Canada, for HRDC's Income Security
Program ("ISP"). This Reporting Database project involves a
senior team of NewSys consultants who will design, develop and
implement a series of large-scale data warehousing applications.
Work on the project commences immediately and runs until March,
2001. The application will be built and deployed across Canada
using Cognos (TM) enterprise business tools. NewSys has a
long-standing strategic alliance with Cognos Corporation and is a
certified Cognos Business Intelligence Services Partner.
The basic objectives of the ISP project are (i) to build and
enhance the current business measurement system, (ii) implement
reporting and analysis functionality to support program statistic
requirements, (iii) provide a decision support system -- offering
management, information required to make more effective decisions,
(iv) implement an effective approach to deploy information
involving both web-based and desk-top strategies, and (v) ensure
the entire system has the potential for scalability.
