Jan, >> Strong buy - buy - outperform - market perform..then ??? These ratings sometimes work in perverse ways. Did you see our SCI today ? MS started coverage last week with outperform. But what affects the price of a stock significantly is the direction of broker ratings. With amzn, the direction is down, which explains why the price is down. What I find significant is no analyst has come out after the report to re-it a "strong buy". Instead, they are quietly down grading to hold or outperform, etc....
