Tim:

Please tell me, then 1) what the "exact reason" for the bombing was...

>>US government is not exactly forthcoming in revealing the exact >>reason for the mistake.<<

and, 2) what the "US double standard Chinese policy" is.

>>This event is just a trigger and the real reason is US double >>standard Chinese policy.<<

As for your question, I am stating that not only has the Chinese government blatantly misrepresented the circumstances surrounding the bombing, they have been the primary instigators of protests against the US in China. The Chinese government has stated that the US bombed the Chinese embassy intentionally in order to silence the Chinese press's "truthful" reporting about NATO attacks in Serbia.

The government then bussed in students from the universities, and the police stood by while the populace stoned, egged, and burned US embassies and consulates.

The Chinese do have a right to be very angry about what happened in Serbia; it was stupid and tragic. But for the Chinese government to portray it as a pre-meditated, purposeful and deliberate US/NATO attack on China is unimaginably pathetic and outrageously irresponsible.

regards,

JS
