That report underscores to me that this is a long-term proposition and as long as WinStar doesn't screw up or miss their numbers that the short-term price moves are not ultimately meaningful (not that I'm particularly enjoying it). If it's true that really big price moves are only effected by the actions of large institutions who act on a short-term basis and are highly risk-averse, then it makes sense to me that they are staying away from this stock for now. If the mutual funds don't think the short-term prospects are rosy and the stock price isn't going to be moving much for some time, why get in now? Also with what's going on in telecom generally and the effort that it takes to understand the technology and what differentiates WinStar could also be making people cautious. Clearly with all of those buy recommendations we are not the only ones that think the story is good. I agree with Robet and the others who have said that WinStar should be more vocal about what's happening.
