Warren and All... This thread is a great idea. We should contribute to it as as a body of knowledge, a work continually in progress. Hopefully we will have enough information collected in the next few weeks that some enterprising soul, I may have time, will transcribe the thread and repost it as a paper.

Let me briefly introduce myself. I am a systems engineer formerly with a national, now international, WAN/LAN design firm. I spent some time as Director of Network Services for a secure WAN in the DC area and now have returned to engineering with a mid-size internetworking equipment manufacturer. Can't tell you who but we will go public within 10 months and are linked with NN. Be that as it may I invest in all profitable companies and those with good tech. I am an engineer, not a marketeer.

I have been doing datacomm since the early Eighties. I hope I can contribute here, this is my favorite area of the datacomm sector.
