I don't agree that this is bad news, I think it's excellent news. I had been thinking I'd get a V3-3000 or -2000 for my next computer in a few weeks, but now it's a no-brainer: I'll be getting the V3-3500TV. The feature I've been wanting for the past couple of years is real-time MPEGII encoding, and this is the first reasonably priced board out there which has that capability (that I'm aware of anyway), and I'll get TV tuner and FM tuner plus absolute top-notch 3D performance, too. When I can get a DVD recorder which can produce movie disks compatible with my dedicated movie player at a reasonable price, I'll be able to convert all my home movies to DVD. With my older video tapes already approaching their useable shelf life of 10-15 years, the sooner I can convert the better.
