Vendit:
I am not long on T. But my gut feeling says that money on T will
be dead for another two to three years. As I have been expressing
on this thread, merging of giant corporations rarely go smooth.
Melding three corporations with two different technologies is not going to be smooth. Of course if T wants to keep cable operations separate
and keep them as two different subsidiary that may be a different
matter. But that is not what the intended purpose is.

I think AOL made a very smart move in not throwing money into
these infrastructure business.

It is not just DSL Vs Cable war. It will be a vigorous competition
on three fronts: Cable, DSL and Wireless.
Did you see the move today by USWest to provide WebPhones from Alcatel?
AOL already has a strong agreement with Alcatel and will be selling WebPhone. All these companies are targetting Phone based access.

On marketing timing:
Great job on today's timing.
