Official ET explanation of IPO allocations. From the March 15 Customer Service Live Forum: Question from TSTBAG* I have a question about IVIL's IPO...Did E-Trade allocate ANY shares? I had my indication in 5 minutes after it was posted. *Warren ETRADE C/S** Yes, we did; if you didn't receive any, it's simply because the offering was oversubscribed.
