Richard,

Do you have to pay tax to IRS for profits made on retroactive trading?

According to the Haavaad Business Journal, you do have to pay taxes retroactively, but the recent tax amnesty forgives all interest and penalties prior to 1985.

This being the recollection of someone who briefly attended the institution under the control of a one-armed dictator, on the other side of the river.
