The new disk drive adopts Clik!TM disk with about 40 MB storage capacity in approximately 5 cm all sides as the medium and which can carry like the floppy disk. As for this medium, the size is equivalent to the about half than the 3.5 inch floppy disk (FD, 1.44 MB storage capacity) and the storage capacity is approximately 27 times larger than 3.5" FD. Therefore, it is suitable for storing and exchanging large multimedia data such as graphics, motion picture, and sound.

It adopts USB interface and can run on various operating systems such as Microsoft Windows95 (Note 2), Windows98, WindowsCE 2.11, Mac OS 8.5 (Note 3) with systems PC-98NX series, Mobile Gear MC700, IBM AT compatible products (Note 4), and iMacTM (Note 3). It is possible to both connect and disconnect the drive without turning off the power of PC and also adopts Plug&Play. Moreover, because the power is supplied to the drive form the PC through USB cable, the AC adapters nor batteries are not required and it is suitable for mobile use.

Clik!TM-USB Drive Kit comes with the drive, a USB cable, a CD-ROM containing driver software and carrying case.

Due to arrival of the multimedia era and improvement of functionality in PC and peripherals, the chances of handling large volume data such as color picture, sound and motion picture have been increased in both business and personal use.

Also, by the spread of the mobile computing which used a notebook PC and a mobile information device, the mobile storage device is strongly desired from the market.

Moreover, the case which shares large-volume data with more than one PC includes both desktop and PCs have increased and the demand of the storage device which can be used in various platform have also increased.
