I don't think you guys are getting the point here...

We aren't shipping any version of the 3500 for another two months. Please don't try and tell me that was part of the original plan. This can only be the result of one of two problems:

A) 3dfx is having technical problems with the 3500. The two highest probabilities are memory yield or problems with the LCDFX unit.

B) 3dfx made a huge marketing mistake and now needs to go back to the drawing board to do a redesign.

Neither a nor b are considered "good execution" on the part of the company. We are all giving them a pass because we like the new product. I admit that I'm much more excited about this product than the old 3500. I was thinking about doing some sort of G400 marvel thing with SLI on my new system but this takes care of it. All this has nothing to do with whether 3dfx is executing correctly. I try not to let my excitement over 3dfx's products cloud my opinion of whether management is "doin' it right".
