I feel that with the implementation of xDSL technologies will not have a major impact one way or the other on IDirect. I don't see cable replacing dial-up but rather complementing it. I for one have a home network and a cable modem connection to the Internet. I maintain my dial-up (which BTW before you ask, is IDirect in Toronto) for remote access from my laptop and as an alternate route to the Internet in case the CM goes down. When the xDSL technology is satisfactorily in place, I will use that for my dial-up.

I can't answer (yet) for your question regarding non-subscription revenue, but it is an excellent point and I will look into it. I'll post back if I find anything.
