Frankly, This Is A Must Read... DD With A Jolt...
Okay, so I've been following the PCFreeComputers.com posts on RB that have spanned most of the day. Further, I went ahead and e-mailed the PC Free CEO... and got a quick and clear response in the affirmative about its intention to include the WaveMeter/EMBASSY in its hardware.
In addition, they hope to distribute 50 million PCs by the end of next year... reaching markets that are typically underserved.
Then, I went to their Web site and learned that they have links to Compaq (who, it appears, will be their manufacturer) and Red Hat (a Linux provider) and a former Netscape guru, who chose to depart after the AOL purchase.
Then, I found this link to a 5/10 article about AOL's plans... (If, by some chance, I mis-type this link... please go to www.news.com and do a search for AOL) Note several things about this article: LINUX (specifically Red Hat) and Compaq are mentioned prominently...
