First the users that bring the revenue are not the surfers as in standard ISP situations. With CY the users are the advertisers who pay for specific exposure to selected demographic users. With regular ISPs - advertisers pay "per surfer hit" but end up paying for hits that are from consumers that won't ever use the advt's product or services. (i.e. european surfers can't drink Molson's)
As for WHAT these Advt's are paying on CY I believe is presently confidential as each deal is privately negotiated : the price for such service is not carved out in stone especially for the early stages of a new product/service such as CY JUST getting started. Wait and read the upcoming PR deals and then ask those companies why they made such a deal. This is a new WEB REVOLUTION for web marketing and CY is the most progressive and has the most to offer to web advertisers. I was in fact in discussion with someone who knows what some ad banners go for on populated websites - I fell off my chair.
John : The only wisdom I can offer is : First there was radio, then TV , now the web- just look at the advt revenue potential that happened w/ radio and tv - now get ready for the WEBOLUTION $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
p.s anybody shorting this right now is suicide
