Kodak has been playing SanDisk off against Lexar by using their cards alternatively as newer Kodak digital models are released. That is part of the fear that OEM's have...being reliant on a single vendor.

I think that any action that potentially limits the choice of vendors to OEM's or creates a distinct price advantage in SNDK's favor will be received poorly. I hope that Lexar agrees to pay a reasonable sum and that fair competition continues. Afterall, without Lexar we wouldn't have cards with write speeds of 1.4 MB/sec.

In any case, none of us will ever learn the terms of the settlement, but we can always hope and dream.
