Just thought I'd post a reply to a postee from the yahoo board that mentioned he expected 'outstanding' 2nd quarter results. I don't think so outbnk. All of the contracts announced so far will not have much impact on the 2nd quarter. For the most part the 2nd quarter is usually a slow period in HIT. I believe that the 'whisper' number for second quarter is .21 or .22. More than likely the MOST I would expect from Quad is .24. More than likely they'll meet or just surpass the .22 which, will probably be one of the better showings in the sector. I don't really expect nor, do I think the analysts expect a really good quarter until the 3rd or 4th. Just meeting the expectations will be a confirmation that the 1st qtr wasn't a fluke and should be enough to trigger a round of upgrades. In any event 2nd quarter will not be 'outstanding' as you put it. 2nd quarter will however, confirm the core income is in tact and the 'new' acquisitions are starting to kick in as expected. One more thing. I've heard that nearly the entire board including the CEO, Durham will pop up shortly as being inside buyers of the stock. Just a rumor mind you.
