John,just a brief comment on your post <<", and it is very apparent to me that you worship the same God that Christ Jesus worshipped, and taught his followers to also worship.">> There is much confusion in Christianity because of a false doctrine being taught in the church that combines works and grace and Judiasm and Christianity. Paul is our only apostle whose doctrine we are to follow in this "Age of Grace." Paul says we are not to know or follow Jesus after the flesh but to worship him in spirit and truth. Jesus taught strictly Judiasm to his chosen people the Jews during his earthly ministry and it was not until that Jesus, in a glorified spiritual state revealed the dispensation of grace to Paul. Paul says we are accursed if we teach any other Gospel than the one Jesus gave to him. The freedom from works and the following after the flesh is offered to all, provided that you "rightly divide" the Word of truth and realize that we have a position assured for us in the Heavenlies. God has appointed us to a commission of reconciling all to God through the great justifier, Jesus Christ. I also have been following the conversation and it saddens me that so much confusion and faulty teaching permeates Christianity. I ask all to begin to solve this dilemma by doing as the Bereans did in Paul's time. They heard the Word preached but searched the Scriptures to find out for themselves to see if what Paul said was true. If you are letting others teach you God's Word through their own experience, then my friend, you are in need of the pure Word of Paul's Gospel. God remove the scales of man made teaching from all of our eyes so that we may become true brothers in Christ. James christian-harbor.com
