Who: Universal ADSL Working Group (UAWG) in conjunction with the ADSL Forum
What: A press conference and luncheon event at Supercomm in Atlanta, Georgia. Key speakers from the UAWG and the ADSL Forum will be presenting new developments on the acceleration of the G.lite standard and unveiling details about the Interoperability Showcase on the main show floor.
Over 30 member companies will be participating in the Interoperability Showcase and demonstrating the commercial readiness of G.lite ADSL. The event will pave the way for mass deployment of broadband Internet access.
Keynote speakers will include:
-- Kevin Kahn, Intel fellow, Co-chair of the UAWG and recently appointed Director for the ADSL Forum
-- John Cahill, Executive Director for BellSouth and Co-chair of the UAWG
-- Hans-Erhard Reiter, Chairman and President of the ADSL Forum
-- Tom Mitchell, Vice President, Consumer Desktop Development, Compaq Computer Corporation
When/How: The press conference will be held at 11:30 a.m. EST on Tuesday, June 8, 1999 in Room 170 West, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Registration for the event will begin at 11:00 a.m.
The event will include a half-hour presentation followed by a luncheon with the opportunity to get the answers to your burning G.lite standardization questions from numerous members of the UAWG.
