LLY AMGN MRK PFE

Dear Sue ---

I am basing this on the premise that your outlook for profits on these is in terms of weeks.... with perhaps profits making a longer term hold possible ... but not days or a week ....
so here goes -----

LLY
>> volume fairly steady at normal amount
>> some sell off while holding to a sideways trend with a downward inclination
>> I'd give it no more than a week to rise AND close above 76 (preferrably two consecutive days) or I wouldn't buy
>> my sell target, if the above happens would be slightly above 80
>> and I wouldn't be real tickled at that ......
>> and I'd have the stop set tight -- like 75...
SO, on this one, I'm lukewarm at best

AMGN
>> light volume and rise in price .... higher volume and price drops some..... hmmmm
>> I like it better than Lilly
>> buy now at about 64 and set the stop no lower than 61 with a target of 70
>> not my favorite type of risk/reward pick but not bad either
SO, on this one I might take a fling, but I'd watch the thing close and would probably stop myself out at 62.50 and sell out at 68 but when I'm spending your money --- it's easier to be more loose .... ggg

MRK
>> some long term weakening of product line
>> perhaps THE BEST in knowledge of how to stretch out the evaporating patents (renewals with new uses, etc ...)
>> better than either of the above
>> buy at around 72
>> set stop at 70 BUT would consider a buy more there rather than a bail out (would depend on the situation at that time tho)
>> would have a target of about 80 plus ... (again would depend on situation)
>> I would feel more comfortable holding/buying this one than either of the above
SO, depending upon the comfort level of longer holds, I like this one.

PFE
>> strongest of the picks
>> but MUST not dissapoint in ANY fundamentals
>> very impressive product pipeline and longer length of patent protection
>> bottom MUST be at 112-113 or watch out ...... uggggghhh for me ...
>> overhead resistance at around 120 and 125
>> that makes it suspect for reaching above those levels before split date
>> high PE, high quality performance MUST go together
>> wasn't equitably priced at 150 but I think a bargain at 112
SO, I've not added to my stash of this one, but most all my long term eggs are in the druggie basket anyhoo .....
and the sector YTD performance is terrible .......
and it makes me sick .......
but I'm not ready for more medicine just yet ...... ggggg

And it is a whole bunch easier for me to trade the spoo ( and the beans) ...
on a scalping basis
heck, I'm liable to be flipping as much as the YankeeFishyman the way things are starting to look .. what with these three networked boxes and the 6 monitors ........ VBZG .....
