Sausage <SAS.AX> signs America Online HotDog deal
MELBOURNE, May 11 (Reuters) - Internet software developer
Sausage Software Ltd <SAS.AX> said on Tuesday it signed a
software license and promotional agreement with U.S. based
America Online <AOL.N>.
Sausage Software will customise and co-brand HotDog
Express, a software package for designing Web sites, for the
America Online network.
America Online, with over 17 million users, would then
distribute and promote the software through its network.
"The deal is great for us in a number of ways, not just
revenue," said Andrew Walsh, general manager of Sausage
internet tools.
It would "put the Sausage and HotDog brand in front of 17
million people worldwide," said Walsh.
He declined to say how much the deal was likely to be worth
to Sausage but said it should reap a "significant" amount.
The company's shares rose 12 cents to A$1.60 in Tuesday
morning trade, taking the company well above the 26 cents it
finished on last year.
