NSOL - Will provide Technical Support to LU

This can't amount to much in revenue.

HERNDON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 11, 1999--Network Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: NSOL - news) today announced a relationship with Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU - news) that enhances Network Solutions' efforts to provide software technical support services to large commercial organizations.

Under the agreement, Network Solutions' Internet Technology Service (ITS) division will perform technical support services for Lucent's IP Services Product Group.

This relationship consists of two basic components:

-- Network Solutions will provide software technical support services--including installation, upgrade and troubleshooting--for customers of Lucent's QIP® product suite, the industry's leading Internet Protocol (IP) address management software. QIP Enterprise 5.0, the newest version of the product, enables mid-to-large scale organizations to configure, automate, integrate and administer IP services across enterprise-wide global networks.

-- Lucent will train qualified Network Solutions' Product Support Consultants (PSCs) to become Q-Agents, engineers certified by Lucent to have extensive QIP knowledge and capabilities. These Q-Agents represent Lucent at domestic and international customer locations.
