Fred,

Thanks for the explanation.

ACTN is acting good lately. If we continue these small gains each day at some point we should get a big up day as some of the other shorts trade out. Much like what happened earlier this year. Of course I imagine they will come back and short at the peak.

Speaking of the Winston Select paint jobs, I hear the 88 will have one to raise money for a charity. It sounds like a nice looking car. From what I have gathered it's his basic paint scheme except where it is blue now it will be white and the numbers and lettering will be blue. A white car with the red ribbons on the side and blue lettering should look sharp under the lights. I can't wait to buy the diecast of it. <g>

BTW what impact do you see the speedway/penske track merger having on ACTN? It looks to me like those groups are gearing themsleves up for the upcoming TV deals and gathering negotiating strength. I don't see it affecting ACTN in the short run. In the long run however I think the TV deals are huge for ACTN. NASCAR will grow by leaps and bounds when it gets onto broadcast. Just wait until the TV audience who have only seen the Daytona 500 get a look at the beating and banging of a short track like Richmond, they'll finally know what they have been missing!

I also look for NASCAR shirts and hats to eventually find thier place on the heads and bodies of a lot of high schoolers. They wear a lot of stick and ball stuff and I'm sure they'll buy the gaudy NASCAR stuff in large quantities as soon as it becomes cool. Which I'm sure it will. Fast cars are always cool!
