the usrx/coms deal certainly doesn't look good from shareholders' eyes but it requires some 'band together' for small investors to vote against this deal. meantime, because of the penalties, csco would not pursuit usrx for sure. other than csco, i don't see whoelse has enough financial muscle to do that.

usrx is short of working capital for sure, their cash ran very low from last 10Q. may be that is the reason they approach coms.
csco already endorsed ROK's modem and may be that is why usrx didn't approach csco. asnd would be a better fit for csco but asnd isn't cheap and csco probably wouldn't want to pay for that after the big buy of strm.

in any case, feel it is too early to establish new longs in networking group. look at fore, tanks big today on rumor of slowing down japanese business. the correction is not over yet. any slight bounce is being sold into.
