ecolab's case is without merit.

Apparently billion dollar ecolab doesn't like losing the business which would mean to me that the amounts we are talking about must be something significant to ecolab. If this was worth a baseless law suite to billion dollar ecolab might it not be a big deal for neog? Apparently biotrace has a deal with Pepsi, which certainly sounds like a good in for neog. From a press release when ecolab started doing business with biotrace:

Press Release - Biotrace Signs Pepsico Deal

Biotrace International Plc signs a significant deal with Pepsico

We are pleased to announce that we have signed an Agreement, together with the Food & Beverage Division of Ecolab Inc, our distribution partner in North America. For the supply of our leading brands Clean-Trace™ and Aqua-Trace™ rapid surface and water hygiene monitoring systems and reagents to Pepsi-Cola Company, a division of PepsiCo Inc.

The deal (to be reviewed annually) is for the supply of several thousand dollars of reagents annually to all 60 Pepsi-Cola Company corporate plants in North America. We have the additional opportunity now to evaluate and discuss supply and service to the 124 franchise Pepsi-Cola plants.

Ecolab Inc is one of the world's leading suppliers of premium cleaning and sanitizing products and systems in industrial and institutional hygiene with sales in excess of $1.5 billion per annum.
