NOW CPQ WORKS FOR CISCO!! Compaq to Resell GeoTel Call Routing & CTI Software Products Worldwide-

LOWELL, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 11, 1999--GeoTel Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:GEOC - news),a leading provider of customer-interaction software solutions for mission-critical call center applications, and Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE:CPQ - news), a leading network and systems integrator for the communications industry, announced a four-year reseller agreement enabling Compaq to distribute GeoTel's full product suite and provide system integration services in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia.

Under the agreement, Compaq Services will resell and integrate GeoTel's products into its call center solutions to link customer-premises or network-based telephony components with a customer's front office or customer relationship management applications. The agreement will leverage Compaq's global sales and service reach and presence in most of the world's largest network service providers, while providing Compaq additional new capabilities to serve the needs of any customer with global, distributed call centers.

Compaq Services will serve as a licensed, certified distributor and systems integrator for GeoTel's flagship Intelligent CallRouter(tm) (for premises-based, multi-site call centers), Network Intelligent CallRouter(tm) (for network-service-provider deployments) and Site ICR (for single-site call centers), as well as for GeoTel's suite of comprehensive network-to-desktop CTI products. As a GeoTel distributor, Compaq Services will sell, install and support the solutions and act as a systems integrator for customers seeking to deploy a joint Compaq/GeoTel solution.
