These 3.5M users, are they distinct users or is the number the quantity of hits?

I realize that the free hosting makes it enticing for a company to go and setup shop on hypermart. But how does GNET create revenu from that? Is it strictly advertizing (other than the fee for no advertizing)? And even if the hosting is free, are these sites reporting paying customers being directed through hypermart?

As a percentage of the e-commerce done on the Net, how much of it is done through virtual "malls" such as this? What perceived advantange does the Net shopper see from using hypermart? Does the shopper know, care or even need to be aware of it? I suppose the shopper is directed to the hosted site via any search engine then, right? If so, then the big gainer is the online shop keeper which call sell his/her wares on the Net at little or no cost.

I may have answered my most fundamental question. If the shopper can access these stores via any search engine, then I guess it doesn't matter that they do not know of the existence of hypermart.
