Do not enjoy the benefit of any broadband service yet. Like you however, I do maintain a couple of dial-up accounts a local (ID) and a national for the POPs when I'm on the road.
I also agree that given the choice between a dedicated XDSL line or a network sharing cable connection I'll take the xDSL. We all agree that the universal deployment of broadband is a long way off. But it would be interesting to track the last six month "churn rate" for ID in those markets where broadband service is now being rolled out by @home and the Telcos. As for non subscrition revenue, the latest barrage was launched by AOL in Britain where they have introduced extraordinary discounts for dial-up to compete.
