jc: AV was listed at 11 down from 9 in the list that is usually cited (can't remember its affiliation). But in its own compilation of the market AV puts itself as 4.

It has to do with the clustering of related sites, and how you count the hit. AV evidently sees itself as organically related to a number of affiliated sites.

I think some clear rationale ought to be spelled out to explain these rankings.
