Shareholders receive 10% FREE shares, the price drops 10%, net effect = no change in market value! But that's no longer true, is it? Anyone buying MDHM today does not receive the dividend, correct? So the shares they are buying now are worth less than before, since a rational "investor" would not be willing to pay as much as they were willing to pay last week.
