Not my field at all, but I'll butt in anyway. Everybody get a grip on the dates of those patents?? They're from ten years ago and more, with one exception.

The first "product" (never produced, we gather, nor was it even invented by someone working for an actual company) sounds like nothing at all: um, a modem with an attached plug. (Okay, maybe I exaggerate; I've never claimed to be a techie.) The second sounds as if it would have been made obsolete by developments in flash memory, and the last two don't sound very special.

The kind of nuisance stuff I referred to earlier? Anyone else have ideas on the subject?
