Golly, all my sources tell me rain fades goes up with frequency and doesn't peak anywhere. Maybe if you meant oxygen absorption, another story, but is soooo small at 18 and 38 Ghz as to be insignificant. Could you give us a technical document or text book to check this out? Who makes WCII's radios? Maybe they could give us the answer to this? Do they have web sites?
Seems to me Winstar has had these licenses for years by all their literature. My sources indicate WCII type of radios have also been around for years, and several vendors sell hundreds or thousands a year overseas. WCII,with all licenses in all areas, and all the announcements by Winstar about agreements to provide service, I'm puzzled when you tell me they are just getting started. They have raised a billion dollars and spent a billion doing something?? No services yet? Where did the money go? Executive perks and travel and stock options? If they were selling these T-1s, T-3s and whatever, at the prices you mention, there should be tens of millions coming in. All I see is hundreds of millions going out.
They are going to lose $3/share this year and $5/share next year, but you say they can clean up with 28 T-1s a link. But where are the customers buying the links? IMHO, a little honesty by WCII telling us how many revenue paying customers might keep this stock from hitting $5/share by April. The good news is there are a least some people recommending the stock. Might even be some ups and downs a long the way down for traders to make some money.
I couldn't agree more about WCII having to announce news. Wish WCII would give us some earnings and profits before 2000. Sold all I owned months ago, and just waiting to get back in around $5. IMHO, it's just a matter of time with the continuing lack of good news. Then five years out will be good one to own. |
