John ... i don't think the shorts are wrong yet. They still have some hope that the trasition from Mpeg1 to Mpeg2 will disrupt Cube's bottom line in a big, big way. "Mr. Short" is betting that it will be like what the DRAM guys went through a few years back, where fat margins turned into (margins)in a matter of months. I think the Cube's saga will be more like this: The Extra Fat Margins on VCD that cube enjoyed are/will be just "nice margins" and Mpeg2 will be just your basic fat margin product for most of '97 & 98. Volumes though should be the whammy card that knowone has predicted. f
