Watch her fly tomorrow

Like a lead balloon. The CC will be VERY intense trying to figure out the future (if any) of CSCO in the telco market. If their strategy is edge routers and nothing significant in the core, this would be extremely detrimental to the self professed "king of data networking". Lots of little guys with a quarter of the overhead of CSCO make this stuff that in many cases is better than CSCO (Juniper for one). CSCO has always professed "end-to-end is what the customer wants" and now he can't provide the solution for the forseeable future. Chambers better not try and bluff his way out of this one, this CC will be scrutinized like no other CC in CSCO's history. The stock will bump up at the open but come 10-11 o'clock the MM's truth will come out.

Only the usual extra penny when CSCO had a WHOLE EXTRA WEEK to bump the numbers. Weak...

Also a 2 for 1 split in the face of this uncertainty is very risky to say the least. The implied volatility of a stock that has been cut in half leading into the summer tech selloff should make for some very interesting short plays. Why did the board approve a two for one at a price lower than when they could have done a 3 for 2 last quarter????

All in all, an expected lame report from the fallen king.

OK cheerleaders, here's your bait. Take it hook, line, and sinker.
