This is a much better news than the news of adopting the MR technology for the HDD a few years ago, which dramatically reduces the number of heads required per GB of stored data on the hard disk. The converting to MR is a very significant improvement for the HDD. However, the growing pains of over capacity issues associated with the merging of this MR technology is (or was) really very painful for many companies that provide the components for the HDD in the recent years.
