Starfield Resources Inc. (SRU- ASE) – Trading again today
In a corporate press release dated May 5th 1999, Starfield Resources Inc. announced the completion of a Can $ 750,000 Private Placement, ( Special Warrant @ 50 cents Canadian plus one full Warrant exercisable at 60 cents Canadian until April 23 2000) the filing of a Filing Statement and a Reporting Letter therefore completing the requirements for a re-instatement of the company's shares for trading on the Alberta Stock Exchange shortly after opening on May 7th 1999.
Upon further discussion the company informs that its geological team is now on route to the Ferguson Lake, Starfields exiting Base Metal and PGE discovery, close to Rankin Inlet in the newly formed Nunavut Territory (formerly known as North West Territory) in the eastern Arctic of Canada. The team will reactivate an existing full service camp, which is located on the property. A drill rig should be arriving within a week with drilling to start one week thereafter. The first target will be the eastern target zone where 3 holes will be drilled to a depth of between 400 and 500 feet. Concurrent with this the team will undertake extensive geophysical work, sampling and mapping. The geological targets are Platinum, Palladium, Cobalt, Nickel, Copper and Gold.
It is anticipated that the first samples will arrive at an independent Laboratory in BC towards the end of May 1999.
Most recently the discovery received wide spread press coverage in the Denver “The Mining Record”, April 28 199 issue Front page. We maintain our view, expressed in our Investor Fax Update of March 1st 1999, that this as an exciting development for the shareholders of a small junior exploration company. We expect initial trading to be active and somewhat higher than the 50 cent Canadian price at the halt.
To risk tolerant investors we strongly recommend SRU as a high leverage Platinum/ Base Metal play with exceptional short and long term upside potential.
