QUOTE.COM - NEW VERSION OF QCHARTS
NASDAQ Level II - One of Many Exciting New Features of QCharts Version 2
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, May 11, 1998 -- Quote.com, Inc. (http://www.quote.com) the network for the investing revolution, and winner of the UPSIDE Magazine Hot 100 Private Companies award for 1999, today announced that it has released a powerful new version of QCharts, its popular internet-based real-time streaming market data application for active investors. QCharts is used by thousands for monitoring investments in stock, options, futures and mutual funds. QCharts Version 2 is now available to subscribers with powerful product enhancements that include a NASDAQ Level II market maker display. This feature, along with other powerful new product enhancements give Quote.com's customers a fully customizable trading application that rivals the best applications available to Wall Street professionals, at a fraction of the cost.

QCharts 2, with the addition of NASDAQ Level II, gives traders a powerful new version of the popular QCharts product, packaged in a fully customizable Microsoft Windows based application, enabling customers to create their own trading system. With NASDAQ level II, customers can view the bid ask spread and the market makers bidding on any stock traded on the exchange, with each market maker identified by a unique code. The product also boasts two unique features: regional exchange quotes and QTRIN, a proprietary buy/sell ratio indicator.

"QCharts 2 with NASDAQ level II is the result of a nine month, collaborative development effort between Quote.com and our customers," said Gibbons Burke, Quote.com's Director of Active Trader Products Group. "Our customers represent today's independent investor—market-savvy individuals who know what they need to get an edge in the markets. They told us what they wanted to see from this product, and we listened. These powerful product enhancements combined with QCharts incredibly simple but elegant user interface have given our customers what they want, and have closed the gap that once existed with the high-priced, complex professional trading systems that have been traditionally available."

The release of QCharts 2 comes on the heels of enormous success for the original version of QCharts, which has enjoyed a rapidly growing subscriber base of loyal, enthusiastic users since the product's launch in June of 1998. While QCharts has always provided lightning-fast, real-time streaming quotes and charts over the Internet, QCharts 2 is combined with enhanced technical and fundamental tools, making the product suitable for investors ranging from the most active day traders to longer-term value investors. QCharts 2 utilizes the Quote.com QFeed data service, which provides reliable Internet connection technology, ensuring the fastest connection possible—even during busy Internet traffic hours. QFeed employs multiple points of server presence throughout the Internet, which ensures that a clear route is always available. Because of this, customers enjoy a product with a surprisingly easy to use interface, crisp graphics, a wealth of historical data for charting, and reliable delivery of information using the Internet.

QCharts 2 will host a variety of new features that will give Quote.com's customers powerful new ways to track the markets, including:

A basic suite of the most popular technical indicators
Technical analysis charting tools - trend lines retracement tool.
Depth of market displays for regional exchanges showing how stocks and options are quoted on all the exchanges on which they trade.
Real-time portfolio tracking capabilities that let users see all positions tick by tick.
Fundamental data and technical indicators for each stock displayed
Hot Lists which display the top 100 stocks in a wide variety of common and proprietary categories, such as Percent Gainers and Losers, stocks with Unusual Volume, stocks that have moved up or down the most in the last 15 minutes, stocks with the most trading volume in the last 30 seconds. Hot lists help traders spot the market movers before they show up on the news.
Complete customization of fonts, colors, and workspace.
Alerts that can be set to trigger on any type of data, and can play custom sounds to signal changing conditions in the markets.
QCharts 2 is available now for download on the Quote.com Web site and costs $79 per month for the basic service (plus exchange fees for real-time data and for NASDAQ level II), and $99 per month (plus exchange fees) for QCharts Premium, which adds news and research for traders interested in fundamental research on stocks. Subscriptions are month-to-month; discounts are offered for signing up for a year. Quote.com will upgrade any current QCharts Version 1 subscribers at no cost.
Robert Honeycutt, Quote.com's President and CEO, said, "Quote.com has always been the leader in providing high quality professional level information and tools to the market place at an unbelievably low cost. With QCharts 2, we have secured our place in the market as the premier provider of quality knowledge and tools for every investor."
