While they go public and downgrade the stock, they start buying. Once the stock is pushed up high enough they start upgrading it! So if some big hot shot jack-ass analyst says for example stock A is a HOLD at $30, then 2 months later that same jack-ass upgrades the stock to a STRONG BUY when the price is at $35 or $36/shr! So how can something be a hold at $30 and a strong buy at $35-$36/shr?!! I have seen this so many times and it is really sickening. I remember INTC was downgraded by SoundView and Smith&Barney to a HOLD when it was at $60 and then they upgraded that to a STRONG BUY at $110! The same with HP, and MSFT, and even SUNW! As they say the best analyst is the one whose mouth is big enough to put his own foot in it! Next time when one of these guys talk on CNBC or CNN pay close attention to their mouth. You will notice its size is 'HUGE' compare to the rest of the characteristics of their body with the exception of the foot (which if measured matches the width of the mouth)!
