Not all people are particularly smart, including me. I was however willing to work harder than most to educate myself so that I would be college material. Another one of those pesky choices. I saw the limitations my grandparents had being uneducated and my father and mother somewhat better educated but of modest means. I made choices to make sure my choices were NOT similarly limited. I have made other choices to insure my children are properly raised, well adjusted and happy individuals. All of these choices generally involve setting aside temporal considerations, such as foregoing the Mercedes, the big splashy house, the boats, and all the other toys many of my contemporaries have. They have $$$. I have time to spend with my kids and my wife. Seems like a pretty easy choice to me if you decide what is really important to you. In any event, I will say no more on this subject excepting one final comment. I find no fault in those who judge others. Judgments and "condemnation" can be great motivators for change an our society could certainly use quite a bit of change as far as I'm concerned. I've never judged anyone harshly for anything I was incapable of doing myself. JLA
